Police Seek Car Driver In MRR2 Hit-And-Run With Motorcyclist

Police are requesting the driver, motorcycle, and any witnesses involved in a hit-and-run incident on Middle Ring Road 2 (MRR2) near Ampang at 3.56pm on April 16 to come forward and aid with the investigation. According to Ampang Jaya police head Assistant Commissioner Mohd Azam Ismail, the video of the collision involving a white Mazda 3 and a motorcycle was recorded on a dashboard camera and then uploaded to Facebook.

Azam says that preliminary investigations show that the motorcyclist, which was traveling in the center lane, was struck when the car suddenly changed from the right lane to the middle lane. "The impact caused the rider to fall, while the motorcycle slid towards the right side of the road," he said in a statement today

Azam urged those involved, as well as eyewitnesses, to lodge a report to the Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Division of the Ampang Jaya police headquarters. Those with information can call the police at 03-9274 0112.
