Bolt e-Hailing App Adds New Flight Tracking Feature

e-hailing app Bolt revealed via press release earlier today of a newly integrated 'Flight Tracker' feature and function.
Earlier today, e-hailing app Bolt (Bolt Malaysia) announced that it has added a new ‘Flight Tracking’ feature and function into its app, and it promises to simplify airport pick-ups for users. As a refresher, Bolt first arrived locally and began operations in 2024.
In its press release, Bolt explains that the newly integrated Flight Tracking feature now let customers sync their flight details when scheduling a ride to pick them up from the airport. Critically, if the customer’s flight is either delayed or cancelled, the app will then automatically adjust their Scheduled Ride’s pick-up time, or cancel the trip, with both coming at no extra costs.

The new feature sees the app automatically adjust or cancel rides, as well as pick-up times, accordingly should users' flights be delayed or cancelled.
To access this feature and schedule a ride, app users can simply tap on the ‘Schedule’ button on the Bolt app’s home screen next to the destination search, enter either Kuala Lumpur International Airport Terminal 1 (KLIA 1) or Terminal 2 KLIA 2) as their pick-up location, their destination from there as usual, and choose ‘Add Flight Details’.
From which, users can select their flight’s landing date, as well as enter their flight number, airline, or departure city details to choose their specific flight. To inform the time their trip is updated to if their flight is delayed, users will also need to choose how many minutes after landing they’d like to be picked up.
From there, Bolt will automatically apply updates should delayed or cancelled flights occur. “Our users can spend as little time at the airport as possible with guaranteed rides on arrival, even at off-peak or busy hours,” remarked Afzan Lutfi, General Manager Bolt Malaysia, via a press release issued by the firm earlier today detailing this new feature.

"Our users can spend as little time at the airport as possible with guaranteed rides on arrival, even at off-peak or busy hours," remarked Bolt Malaysia General Manager Afzan Lutfi about the app's newly added Flight Tracking.
Flight Tracking is the latest addition by Bolt to its Scheduled Rides service – the app had previously extended booking window to 90 days. This aside, Bolt presently offers a variety of new Scheduled Rides options to schedule globally, personalising these based on local market needs and demands.
In lieu of airports being a popular destination for Bolt trips, the app also introduced several new and upgraded features that better support customers’ airport experience both online and off.
Highlights include easy-to-follow in-app directions with photos to aid customers in getting from their location in the airport to the Bolt pick-up area. With airport branding, Bolt also aims to make it even easier for customers to spot pick-up areas.
