PRO-NET, the electric vehicle (EV) division of Proton, has partnered with Shell Recharge to make EV charging easier and more accessible across Malaysia.

With this collaboration, Proton e.MAS and smart EV owners can now find, navigate to, and pay for charging at Shell Recharge stations directly through the Proton e.MAS and Hello smart apps.

This move adds to PRO-NET’s growing network of charging partners, which already includes ChargeSini, Gentari, ChargeEV, JomCharge, Charge+, RExharge, and Charge N Go. Together, these partnerships are helping to create a more unified and user-friendly EV charging experience nationwide.

Additionally, Shell is continuing to grow its charging network, including the recently launched High-Performance Charging (HPC) corridor that connects the East and West Coasts of Peninsular Malaysia.

The collaboration with PRO-NET supports Shell’s goal of offering smarter, more connected EV charging solutions through strong partnerships.

Seow Lee Ming, General Manager of Mobility & Convenience at Shell Malaysia, said the partnership shows Shell’s focus on delivering practical solutions to make EV ownership better.

PRO-NET’s CEO Zhang Qiang added that their goal is to eliminate range anxiety for EV owners. With over 2,500 charging points now available through their Integrated Live Charging Map and easy access through their apps, they aim to set a new standard for EV convenience in Malaysia.

To celebrate the partnership, Shell Recharge is offering limited-time discounts for Proton e.MAS and smart EV users. From May 26 to June 9, users will get 30% off charging at Shell HPC stations and 10% off at other Shell Recharge stations when payments are made through the Proton e.MAS or Hello smart app.
