Isuzu D-Max Sees 3,081 Units Shifted In H1 2025

Earlier today, Isuzu Malaysia revealed sales of its core Isuzu D-Max pick-up truck range have solidified the firm’s No. 2 position in the local market.
The firm revealed sales of the D-Max range reached a total of 3,081 units throughout the first half (H1) of this year (2025). In turn, this sees said pick-up truck chart a 16% market share as well.
 The nameplate sees its 1H 2025 sales reach a total of 3,081 units to chart a 16% market share, and the firm also noted strong demand for the 1.9-litre variants as a key driver too.

Isuzu Malaysia also singled-out the strong demand for the D-Max in its accessibly-priced yet robustly capable 1.9-litre variants as a key driver to which. The firm adds these account for more than 85.8% of the D-Max nameplate’s sales thus far.
Leading things is the 1.9-litre 4x4 Auto Premium variant, which accounts for 18.6% of the nameplate’s total sales. Said variant was launched back in May 2024 with a price tag of RM134,649 (Pen. Malaysia, Individual).

“The results achieved this year reaffirms the trend we have observed since last year when pick-up truck enthusiasts and passenger car converts alike have discovered the benefits of owning and driving these highly capable Isuzu D-Max trucks,” remarked Isuzu Malaysia CEO Tomoyuki Yamaguchi.
“Key efforts for the second half of the year will focus on improving the accessibility of our products by reaching out to potential customers beyond the perimeters of our outlets and offering them immersive experiences that highlight the key benefits of our products,” adds the exec further.

Presently, Isuzu Malaysia boasts the widest range of pick-up truck models in the local market with no less than 9 variants available for customers to choose from.
Entry to which starts with the new 1.9-litre Low Ride 4x2 workhorse offering that was introduced earlier this year with an accessible starting price tag of RM92,199.20. Capping things off is the range-topping 3.0 X-Terrain guise priced from RM157,938 onwards.
We’ll also add that Isuzu Malaysia offers a 5-year or 150,000 KM warranty coverage for all variants, but only the 3.0 X-Terrain range-topper mentioned gets a special 7-year, unlimited mileage warranty coverage instead.
