Special MG Cyberster Test-Drive Showcase Annonuced

MG Motor Malaysia is set to host a special test-drive showcase featuring the MG Cyberster.


In conjunction with the recent arrival of the new rear-wheel-drive (RWD) variant of the MG Cyberster, MG Motor Malaysia (SAIC Motor Malaysia) will be hosting a special test-drive showcase event featuring said flagship EV roadster.

This special showcase takes place this weekend at MG Motor Old Klang Road on July 19 and 20 from 10AM to 5PM. The outlet is located at No.2, Lot 387, Lorong Jugra, Off Jalan Kelang Lama, Seksyen 99, 58100 Kuala Lumpur.

This special test-drive showcase takes place at MG Motor Old Klang Road on July 19 and 20 from 10AM to 5PM.


Operated by authorised dealers Reiwa Motors Sdn Bhd, said dealership is one of 25 authorised outlets selected by MG Motor Malaysia to host this showcase. Adding to which is the fact that it houses a Cyberster Garage.

According to MG Motor Malaysia, the Cyberster Garage is specially equipped with advanced diagnostic tools, genuine parts, and trained personnel to service the Cyberster model specifically.

Special perks are up for grabs during this special test-drive showcase event.


Additionally, customers booking either variant of the MG Cyberster during this showcase event will receive several exclusive benefits starting with a complimentary one-year unlimited charging package with JomCharge (AutoCharge function included).

Secondly, these customers booking the Cyberster at this showcase will also receive a complimentary 7 kW wallbox AC charger. Thirdly, the same customers will also receive a limited edition MG Cyberster diecast model.

MG Cyberster was first launched locally during KLIMS 2024 in dual-motor, all-wheel-drive (AWD) guise priced at RM319,900.


As a refresher, MG Motor Malaysia first launched the Cyberster in dual-motor, all-wheel-drive (AWD) guise during KLIMS 2024 priced at RM319,900. This variant boasts 503 PS and 725 NM outputs to enable 0-100 KM/H sprints in just 3.2 secs.

More recently, the firm added a ‘base’ single-motor, RWD variant mentioned slotted below the AWD guise noted priced at RM299,900. This guise puts out lower outputs 340 PS and 475 NM, but it still yields a rapid century sprint time of 5 secs.

Recently, MG Motor Malaysia also added a new 'base' rear-wheel-drive (RWD) guise tagged at RM299,900.


Critically, both variants share the same 77 kWh battery pack that accepts 7 kW AC and 150 KW DC charging inputs. However, the newly launched RWD variant boasts longer range at 508 KM (WLTP) versus the AWD’s claimed 446 KM (WLTP).

Apart from the MG Cyberster, this special showcase at MG Motor Old Klang Road is also set to feature other MG models available for test-drives. It includes the MG 4 and MG S5 EV, as well as ICE-powered MG 5 saloon and MG HS crossover.
