MG5 X Edition & MG4 101 Edition Specials Announced – RM96,388 & RM128,888
MG Motor Malaysia (SAIC Motor Malaysia) just announced two special editions locally starting with the MG5 X Edition pictured.

More news from MG Motor Malaysia (SAIC Motor Malaysia) this week. In conjunction with its latest roadshow event, the firm has elected to introduce two special edition offerings – one based on the MG5 fastback and another based on the MG4 EV hatch.
Starting with the marque’s combustion (ICE)-powered saloon, there’s now a limited-run MG5 X Edition on offer locally. Just 300 units have been allocated and tagged at RM96,388 apiece. What sets this special apart are the bevy of special accessories it packs.
Packing a slew of exclusive accessories, the MG5 X Edition is limited to just 300 units, each tagged at RM96,388.

Highlights include unique gloss black-finished aerokit (front splitter, side skirts, rear diffuser and bootlid spoiler), exclusive X Edition scuff plates, as well as a MG-branded dashcam set with a 64 GB SD card included. All these additions are covered by a one-year warranty too.
Beyond which, there are no mechanical enhancements to note in this special and limited edition variant of the MG5. We’ve sampled this budding left-field B-segment sedan fighter not too long ago, which you can read by clicking these blue words.
Next comes the MG4 101 Edition. This is a limited-time special aesthetics option offered exclusively for the MG4 in Lux Extended guise.

Next comes MG4 101 Edition. Aptly, this special edition based on the recently streamlined MG4 EV hatch line-up gets decked out with special aesthetics to commemorate the historic British marque’s recent 101st landmark anniversary.
Whilst not limited in numbers, the 101 Edition treatment is offered as an exclusive limited-time option for the MG4 Lux Extended guise only. It also commands a price tag of RM128,888 – unchanged from the regular MG4 Lux Extended variant it underpins.
Setting the MG4 101 Edition apart is its exclusive red (or blue) exterior paint choices, Union Jack roof graphics and 101 decals set, and a striking dual-tone cabin motif.

Visually, this special rocks is set apart thanks to its exclusive Union Jack roof graphics and ‘101’ decal set. Both offsets stylishly to the Dynamic Red or Holborn Blue exterior paint option on offer, as well as variant-specific striking dual-tone cabin motif.
Apart from the special aesthetics detailed, there are – predictably – no mechanical changes to report here too. We’ve also sampled the MG4 prior, albeit in XPower performance flagship guise, and you can get to grips with its by clicking here.
Both the MG5 X Edition (pictured) and MG4 101 Edition specials will be showcased through MG Motor Malaysia's latest roadshow held this week at IOI City Mall, Putrajaya (see details below).

Both specials can be viewed in the flesh now through MG Motor Malaysia’s latest ‘Dare To Love’ roadshow event happening this week at the West Court space of IOI City Mall, Putrajaya from oct 29 to Nov 2.
MG Motor Malaysia also notes the recently re-priced and soon-to-be-localised (CKD) MG S5 EV, the MG HS ICE-powered SUV range, as well as the marque’s Cyberster halo EV roadster, will all be showcased during this roadshow too.
Lastly, said roadshow also sees a slew of exclusive offers on hand. Highlights include either a free 7 kW AC home wallbox charger or complimentary charging credits for purchases of selected EV models, as well as cash rebates between RM8,000 and RM12,000 on selected ICE-powered models.
