Over 95% of MyJalan Complaints Fixed, Highway Projects Enter Digital Era

The Works Ministry (KKR) has resolved more than 95% of road damage complaints submitted through the MyJalan app. Minister Datuk Seri Alexander Nanta Linggi told the Dewan Rakyat that 11,860 cases had been fixed, while 599 (4.8%) remained under investigation or pending action.
Launched in Aug 2023, the app has drawn over 54,000 users and generated 40,938 complaints. Nearly 70% of these, or 28,479 cases, were redirected to local councils, state governments and other ministries under the No Wrong Door policy, as they involved roads outside KKR’s jurisdiction.

Nanta said the platform has helped speed up responses to public reports while ensuring agencies take responsibility for the roads under their care.
On highways, he noted that traffic on the East–West Highway remains manageable, although a RM100 million rehabilitation project is in progress to improve road surfaces, lighting and structural components, with completion expected in 2026.

The Malaysian Highway Authority (LLM) is also moving towards digitalisation by adopting Building Information Modelling (BIM) in projects such as the Kuala Lumpur–Karak widening, East Coast Expressway flood mitigation and the upcoming West Ipoh Span Expressway.
Nanta added that while most complaints have been resolved, the ministry is working to close the remaining cases, stressing that cooperation with state agencies is vital to ensure safer, better roads.
