Proton revealed it closed July 2025 by increasing its sales by 22.1% from July 2025 with 13,518 units shifted.

National automaker Proton revealed its latest monthly sales figures, and its latest effort sees it close July 2025 on a high with 13,518 units shifted. This marks a sizeable 22.1% increase from the previous month (June 2025) where the group shifted 11,069 units.

With that, the automaker’s year-to-date (YTD) total sales have now reached 85,674 units. In turn, this sees Proton retain its second-place position in terms of overall national sales. The automaker adds it estimates to hold a 19.2% market share for the month also.

Proton keenly highlighted several best-selling models as key drivers for its July 2025 sales. Predictably, the Proton Saga continues to be the automaker’s top seller with 6,638 units delivered last month, bringing its nameplate’s YTD total sales up to 38,345 units.

After that comes the X50 which, as reported, saw 999 units delivered over five days since launch. With its pre-facelift predecessor, 2,068 units of the X50 were collectively shifted last month, marking the third time monthly sales of said B-SUV soared past 2,000 units this year.

Proton also noted sales of both the S70 and X90 models were strong last month. The former saw 1,404 units shifted last month, and its YTD total now up to 10,750 units.

Elsewhere, Proton singled out both the X90 and S70 models. The automaker noted how sales of the three-row D-SUV and C-segment sedan charted 229 units and 1,404 units respectively last month. With the latter, its YTD total sales also climbed up to 10,750 units.

Putting aside combustion (ICE) models, the national automaker also revelled in the e.MAS 7 named as the market’s best-selling EV. Proton notes 706 units of the EV SUV were shifted last month. This brings the nameplate’s YTD total sales up to 4,959 units now.

Moving to the automaker’s overseas exports, last month saw the X50 overtake the Saga as its best-seller abroad. Overall, YTD total exports now stands at 2,258 units, thus marking a 44.1% year-on-year (YoY) increase too.

With the establishment of Proton International Corporation Sdn Bhd (PICSB) last month, the automaker is poised to ramp up its overseas exports efforts further this year too – the division is eyeing to shift up to 6,000 units for its first year of operations.
