Hyundai Motor Malaysia Formalises Partnership With Selangor FC

Seasoned readers would already know by now the recently established Hyundai Motor Malaysia (HMY) – the Malaysian arm of principals Hyundai Motor – renewed the Korean H-marque’s partnership with local footballing giants Selangor FC.

Ahead of the recent Merdeka Day public holiday weekend, HMY officially inked a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the team, affectionately known as the Red Giants, at the marque’s corporate headquarters in Menara Affin, TRX, KL.

Present to sign the MoU were HMY president Eric Lee and Selangor FC CEO Dr Johan Kamal Hamidon, whilst HRH Tengku Amir Shah – the Raja Muda Selangor – stood in as a witness over these proceedings.

The automaker inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) recently with the team, affectionately called the Red Giants, to become its Official Mobility Partner.

The MoU signing formalises the collaboration announced earlier this month, putting into motion the automaker’s role as Official Mobility Partner for Selangor FC. The partnership even made its first appearance during the team's opening match against JDT on Aug 8.

Fans can look forward to seeing this presence expand across training jerseys and matchday experiences in the months ahead, says HMY.

The signing ceremony held at HMY's corporate HQ in Menara Affin, TRX, KL concluded with the firm handing over a Staria to serve as the club's official team vehicle.

As we compete in both the Malaysia Football League and the ACC Shopee Cup, Hyundai’s support will be instrumental in helping us elevate Selangor FC to greater heights on and off the pitch,” remarked Selangor FC’s CEO, Dr Johan.

Notably, the MoU signing ceremony concluded with HMY handing over a Staria to serve as the club’s official team vehicle. As a refresher, said premium MPV range was re-launched by HMY recently priced between RM179,888 and RM267,888.
