General Tire Brand Launched in Malaysia – SUV, MPV, 4x4 Tyres Available

Continental Tyre Malaysia has launched its General Tire sub-brand in Malaysia, featuring tyres for SUVs, MPVs, and more.
Continental Tyre Malaysia has expanded its footprint in Malaysia by launching its latest sub-brand, known as General Tire. For the Malaysian market, General Tire covers a wide variety of vehicle types, ranging from passenger cars to SUVs, MPVs, and even 4x4s.
For those who aren’t familiar with General Tire, this sub-brand has been under Continental Tyre’s umbrella since 1987, while the brand itself was established more than 100 years ago.

Back to the General Tire’s lineup in Malaysia, the first phase will see the brand offering four tyre models, with sizes ranging from 14 to 20 inches, catering to a wide spectrum of vehicles. The lineup starts with the Altimax GC5, which offers low noise, a comfortable drive, and better fuel efficiency, with sizes ranging from 14 to 15 inches.

Next is the General Tire Altimax GS6, which promises to deliver a quieter drive, strong grip, shorter braking distances, and longer tread life, with sizes ranging from 15 to 19 inches.

As of now, two 4x4 tyres will be offered by General Tire in Malaysia, namely the Grabber AT6 all-terrain tyres with sizes ranging from 16 to 18 inches and the Grabber HT6 highway-terrain tyres, featuring sizes ranging from 16 to 20 inches.
“The launch of General Tire in Malaysia marks a significant step in offering customers the right combination of durability, performance, and style with everyday value. We are excited to bring this brand, supported by Continental’s German expertise, to drivers who are seeking performance and safety on every journey,” said Andrea Somorova, Managing Director of Continental Tyre Malaysia.
