Proton e.MAS 7 Now Exported To Mauritius
The Proton e.MAS 7 is now exported to the picturesque island republic of Mauritius. It was launched at the nation's capital of Port Louis earlier this week.

Not just a local best-seller, it appears that the Proton e.MAS 7 is quite the seasoned traveller – more so than the average Malaysian This week, the national automaker’s export arm Proton International Corporation Sdn Bhd (PICSB) revealed it launched the EV C-SUV in the island nation of Mauritius.
Though local assembly (CKD) efforts for the e.MAS 7 has begun in Tanjong Malim, e.MAS 7 units bound for the picturesque island republic come as fully imported units (CBU) from China instead. Given the capacity touted by Proton’s new Tanjong Malim EV plant, perhaps future units exported here will from which.
Mirroring Malaysia, Mauritius-bound e.MAS 7 sees both Prime and Premium variants offered, albeit as China-made CBU units.

Like Malaysia, the e.MAS 7 sees two variants offered in the island republic renowned as being a holiday destination, those being the Prime and Premium variants. Prices, on the other hand, read at MUR1,690,000 (roughly RM157,000) and MUR1,850,000 (roughly RM172,000) respectively.
Notably, the first 30 customers purchasing the e.MAS 7 in Mauritius benefit with a complimentary wallbox charger and free access to the nation’s E-motion charging network. Specifically for customers there acquiring the Premium variant, they also benefit with a 5-year or 150,000 KM free maintenance package included.
During its launch mentioned, PICSB revealed it also delivered the first 10 units of the e.MAS 7 to customers there.

Apart from that, both guises are offered with a standard 6-year or 150,000 KM base vehicle warranty, followed by a separate 8-year or 160,000 KM battery warranty. (PICSB) also noted that during the model’s official launch in the capital of Port Louis, the firm delivered the first 10 units to customers there too.
Both variants mirror the Malaysia-spec e.MAS 7 by sharing the same single e-motor setup outputting 218 PS and 320 Nm, altogether enabling 0-100 km/h sprints in 6.9 secs. Naturally, what sets the two apart besides level of kit and amenities are their differing battery sizes and subsequent range figures.
PICSB CEO Edward Lim (centre) with key Proton Mauritius partners with the e.MAS 7 at the model's official launch held in Port Louis earlier this week.

Mauritius-bound Prime variant units get a 49.52 kWh Geely Aegis short blade LFP pack that yields up to 345 KM (WLTP), whilst the Premium guise gets the larger 60.22 kWh pack that offers a longer 410 KM WLTP range. Charging speeds caps also remain unchanged at 11 kW AC, as well as 80 kW (Prime) and 100 kW (Premium) DC.
“The introduction of the e.MAS 7 in Mauritius forms part of Proton’s ongoing strategy to expand its EV portfolio across global markets. Each new entry strengthens our international presence and reflects Proton’s capability to deliver vehicles that balance technology, performance and value,” said PICSB CEO Edward Lim Meng Thong.
Mauritius now joins a growing list of overseas export markets for the Proton e.MAS 7 after Nepal, Trinidad & Tobago, and more recently Singapore.
