2026 Proton Saga Garners Over 10,000 Bookings In Just Five Days!
Proton revealed that the new fourth-gen Saga model pictured surpassed 10,000 bookings in just the first five days since order books first opened earlier this month.

National automaker Proton revealed via press release earlier today that its upcoming new fourth-gen Saga offering has amassed over 10,000 bookings in just its first week. More specifically, the milestone was charted in just FIVE DAYS.
Proton further touted a breakdown of which, highlighting that the Saga generated roughly 2,000 bookings daily during the timeframe noted. This also translates to 83 bookings placed hourly, or one booking placed every 43 seconds.
We’ll leave it to you to gauge the statistics provided by the automaker about what’s set to become one of its core best-sellers for a considerable amount of time.

As a refresher, the 2026 Proton Saga – also dubbed as the Proton Saga MC3 – was previewed to local press earlier this month. Streamlined with just three variants now (Standard, Executive and Premium), bookings for which were opened since Nov 10.
At which point, Proton also noted estimated prices ranging between RM40,000 and RM50,000. In turn, this sees this new-gen successor continuing its predecessor’s promise of being an affordable entry-level sedan.

We’ve detailed the new Saga at length prior, but it’s worth refreshing you that this new fourth-gen model packs an all-new 1.5-litre i-GT 4-cyl petrol heart, a 4-speed (Standard and Executive) or CVT (Premium only) transmissions, an all-new look, plus a high degree of tech on board.
Leading the bill for the latter is a trick new dual-digital display panel primed with an infotainment touchscreen offering wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto (Executive and Premium), followed by a slew of basic ADAS features (Premium variant only) to bolster safety.
Whilst no firm launch date was outlined yet, Proton is expected to launch the 2026 Proton Saga soon – perhaps sometime early next month. You can get up to speed with the new Saga through our in-depth report by clicking here, or through our feature video below…
