Kelana Jaya LRT Weekend Disruptions For Upgrades
LRT commuters should plan ahead as Rapid KL carries out signalling upgrades on the Kelana Jaya Line this month that will cause temporary service disruptions on selected weekends.
Train services will be affected on Nov 15-16 from 6AM to 9PM, and Nov 29-30 from 6AM to 12PM. Luckily, the downtime falls on weekends, so weekday commuters heading to work will not be impacted.
"This disruption will impact 17 stations in total," Rapid KL said in a statement.
The affected stations include Lembah Subang, Kelana Jaya, Taman Bahagia, Taman Paramount, Asia Jaya, Taman Jaya, Universiti, Kerinchi, Abdullah Hukum, Bangsar, KL Sentral, Pasar Seni, Masjid Jamek, Dang Wangi, Kampung Baru, KLCC and Ampang Park.
Services on the outer sections remain normal, with trains running between Putra Heights and Ara Damansara, and Damai to Gombak. It’s only the middle section that will be closed during the upgrade.

Rapid KL will provide shuttle buses every 10–15 minutes, and a van service between Kampung Baru and KLCC. Times may vary depending on traffic, so passengers are advised to check with station officers for boarding and drop-off points.
Commuters are urged to plan their trips carefully, follow signage, and listen to staff instructions to avoid delays.
