KLIA Aerotrain Halts Daily Midnight To 5am For Maintenance
Kuala Lumpur International Airport's (KLIA) Aerotrain will stop running every night from midnight to 5am for routine checks and maintenance, Malaysia Airports Holdings Bhd (MAHB) announced.
Passengers can rely on shuttle buses operating at full capacity during these hours to transfer between terminals without delay.
“These steps are part of our ongoing effort to keep airport connections safe, smooth, and comfortable,” KLIA said.

The driverless train, which resumed service in July after a RM456 million upgrade, has faced several disruptions.
MAHB is working closely with contractors Alstom and IJMC-Pestech Joint Venture to address recurring technical issues and prevent future breakdowns.
Deputy Transport Minister Hasbi Habibollah previously warned that the Aerotrain operator could face fines up to RM190,000 per month if the service fails to meet performance standards.

Between July and September, 20 minor incidents were reported, including signalling faults and passengers forcing train doors open.
