Launched: 2025 Mazda BT-50 – 1 CBU Variant, RM138,000
Bermaz Motor (BAuto) officially launched the face-lifted 2025 Mazda BT-50 premium 4x4 pick-up truck earlier today.

Mazda brand custodians Bermaz Motor (BAuto) officially launched two new offerings today ahead of its roadshow event held this week in 1Utama, Petaling Jaya. New for the local market are the face-lifted 2025 Mazda BT-50 and repackaged 2025 Mazda 3 1.5 High Plus sedan and hatch duo.
We’ll detail the 2025 Mazda 3 1.5 High Plus via a separate report. If you’re keen on a slightly different – read: posh – Japanese pick-up truck, then perhaps the refreshed 2025MY version of this Isuzu D-Max-based Mazda offering could be what you seek.
For Malaysia, the revised and fully imported (CBU) BT-50 is offered solely in 3.0T 4WD High Plus guise priced at RM138,000 nett.

For this 2025MY version, the BT-50 sees a sole and fully imported (CBU) 3.0T 4WD High Plus guise on offer. Commanding RM138,000 nett (sans insurance and on-road costs), Bermaz Motor has included a comprehensive 5-year or 100,000 KM warranty coverage for said price too.
Mechanically, House Hiroshima’s redux of the Isuzu D-Max for Malaysia is powered by the latter’s signature 3.0-litre 4-cyl turbo-diesel mill that puts out 188 hp and a rather meaty 450 Nm of twist.
Said mill gets paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission plus a full-blown four-wheel-drive (4WD) setup, the latter primed with an enhanced Rough Terrain mode. Included too is a Hill Descent Control (HDC) suite and 4WD locking diff functions (2H, 4H and 4L).

Under the hood, the 2025 Mazda BT-50 packs a 3.0-litre 4-cyl turbo-diesel mill paired with an enhanced 4WD driveline offering an improved 'Rough Terrain' drive mode.

Visually, the face-lifted Mazda BT-50 now dons a unique front fascia to set it apart from its Isuzu D-Max ‘twin’. Key touches include a revised new signature blacked-out ‘wing grille’ design flanked by all-LED headlights that mirror the pair donned on the Mazda brand’s popular CX-5 crossover.
Matching which are updated designs for the front bumper with side intakes plus blacked-out fog lamp surrounds, a distinct tailgate design, not forgetting its equally distinct set of 18-inch two-tone alloy wheels.

The revised BT-50 is now easily set apart from its D-Max twin thanks to a fully revised front fascia featuring CX-5-like all-LED headlights, distinct new Mazda grille design, plus unique tailgate and rolling stock designs too.

It’s the same note on board as the BT-50 continues to don a distinctively different interior design with almost no hints of its Isuzu D-Max origins. This is evident with the way things in the centre console – it mirrors Mazda’s popular crossovers and saloons.
Mazda also furnished the cabin with more plush luxuries, namely through the richer use of soft touch trims lining the dash and door panels, heightened noise, vibration and harshness (NVH) suppression, as well as improved leather seats design promising enhanced comfort.

On board, the BT-50 also rocks a distinctively different cabin layout that's also much posher than the D-Max. Key amenities here include an upgraded 9-inch infotainment touchscreen.

In terms of kit, the BT-50 sees its dash firstly houses a sizeable and upgraded 9-inch infotainment touchscreen loaded with both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. Next to it comes a 7-inch digital instrument panel.
Other key amenities present aboard include an automatic dual-zone climate control with dedicated rear vents, USB-C charging ports, power-adjustable driver seat, reverse camera, as well as basics that includes keyless entry and ignition.
Not only posh and capable in the rough, the 2025 Mazda BT-50 comes brimmed with a slew of ADAS features to make it a very safe truck on the pavement.

As for driving assist, the BT-50 is well-endowed on this front too. Firstly, there’s the Mazda i-Activesense ADAS suite that brings Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), forward collision warning and prevention (FCW & AEB), Lane Departure Warning System (LDWS), Attention Assist (DAA), as well as Blind Spot Monitoring (BSM) plus Auto High Beam (AHB) and Rear Cross-Traffic Alert (RCTA).
Typically, basic safety isn’t overlooked either as the BT-50 is laced with airbags, ABS plus EBD and BA, stability and traction control suites (ESC & TCS), as well as Hill Launch Assist.

A total of five exterior paintjob options are on offer for this 2025MY refresh.

Lastly, five exterior paintjob options on offer, comprising of Concrete Gray Mica, Vermillion Latosol Mica, True Black Mica, Geode White Pearl, and Sailing Blue Mica. The interior, on the other hand, sees just one black leather motif readied.
Viewing and bookings can now be placed via authorised Mazda dealers nationwide. Check out more images of the refreshed 2025 Mazda BT-50 in the gallery prepared below.
