Geely Outlines 2030 Strategy After Record 4.1 Million Vehicle Sales In 2025

Geely Holding Group has outlined its roadmap to 2030 after closing 2025 with its strongest sales performance on record, driven largely by rapid growth in new energy vehicles (NEVs).
The Chinese automotive group sold 4.12 million vehicles globally in 2025, a 26% increase year-on-year and its fifth consecutive year of growth. NEV sales jumped 58% to 2.29 million units, pushing electrified models to 56% of total group sales, a key milestone as Geely accelerates its transition away from internal combustion engines.
At a brand level, Geely Auto, which includes Geely China Star, Galaxy, Lynk & Co and Zeekr delivered just over 3.02 million vehicles in 2025, up 39% from the previous year.

Nearly 1.69 million of those were NEVs, marking a sharp 90% increase. The group is targeting 3.45 million sales for Geely Auto in 2026, with more than two million expected to come from NEVs.
Volvo Cars remained a major contributor, delivering 710,042 vehicles globally, with electrified models accounting for 46% of its sales. Proton posted 162,601 units, recording modest year-on-year growth, while Polestar delivered more than 60,000 vehicles, extending its growth streak.
Lotus also reported stronger sales momentum in China, while Farizon’s new energy commercial vehicles reached cumulative sales of over 500,000 units.

Geely’s management says the 2025 results provide a solid foundation for its 2030 ambitions, with future growth expected to be led by electrification, global expansion and tighter integration across its portfolio of brands.
