Refreshed 2026 Xiaomi SU7 Unveiled – Up to 902 km Range, New V6S Plus Motor

Xiaomi has given its SU7 EV sedan an update for 2026, featuring minor design tweaks, an updated powertrain, and more.
Xiaomi has just updated its SU7 for 2026, with its pre-orders now officially open in the native Chinese market. For the 2026 model year update, the popular EV GT gains a slew of upgrades, including some minor design tweaks, an updated powertrain lineup, and many more.

We’ll start with the visuals, where the minor design changes take form in the redesigned front grille for better air flow, a new Capri Blue paint option, and wider 265 mm rear tyres for all variants, although the wheels are still kept at 20 inches.

Moving on to the interior, it gets more noticeable design upgrades in the form of the new Dark Black colourway option, on top of the existing Obsidian Black. Other key changes primed here include a new steering wheel design, plus some refined details on the metre cluster panel, door panels, and seat stitching.

But perhaps the most significant upgrade given for the new SU7 lies beneath its body, where the EV GT is now powered by a new V6S Plus electric motor, replacing the V6 and V6S units used on the outgoing model.

As a result, power outputs for the new SU7 have changed across all variants, with both the Standard and Pro models now rated at 320 hp, while the top-spec Max variant now gets an improved combined output of 690 hp. To compensate for these power boosts, all variants of the new SU7 now come standard with four-piston front callipers, while the Pro will come standard with dual-chamber air suspension with CDC dampers.

To go with these mechanical improvements, Xiaomi has also upgraded the voltage platform, with both the Standard and Pro now jumping from 400 V to 752 V, while the Max variant advances from 817 V to 897 V, thus bringing it closer to a 900 V architecture.
These changes in the voltage platform are reflected in the improved range figures across the lineup, with the Standard model now rated for up to 720 km of range, the Pro model jumping to 902 km, and the Max model at 835 km—all based on the more lenient CLTC standards.

The last significant changes given to the new SU7 are on the safety front, with all variants now equipped with LiDAR and featuring Xiaomi’s proprietary HAD driving assistance system. To make these ADAS functions work smoother, computing power for the new SU7 has been standardized at 700 TOPS across the range, up from the previous maximum of 508 TOPS.
As for the passive safety upgrades, airbag count has increased from seven to nine across all models, while both the embedded anti-roll cage and new dedicated backup power supply for door locks have also been added.

The upgraded 2026 Xiaomi SU7 will officially go on sale later in April 2026 in China, with pre-sale prices ranging from CNY 229,900 (RM133,324) to CNY 309,900 (RM179,717), marking a slight increase over the previous outgoing model.
