Toyota Raize SUV Gains Stylish GR Sport Version in Indonesia

Perodua Ativa’s Japanese sibling, the Toyota Raize SUV, has gained a stylish GR Sport version in Indonesia.
Perodua Ativa’s Japanese-badged sibling, the Toyota Raize, has just gained a sportier GR Sport version in Indonesia. And in typical fashion of any other GR Sport model, the new Raize GR Sport gains several new styling bits that add some extra sporty pedigree to this ever-popular subcompact SUV.

We’ll start with the front part, where the Raize now sports a revised front bumper with a pronounced front lip and a more rugged skid plate. The rest of its front face, however, remains the same as before, including the sharp LED headlights, rounded fog lamps, and the trapezoidal front grille.

From the side, we can see that the Raize GR Sport now rolls on sportier 17-inch alloy wheels finished in black, plus some optional bits like carbon-like side mirror caps, window visors, GR-branded door handle covers, and side moldings.

At the rear, the Raize GR Sport gets a sportier rear bumper with a diffuser-like accent, plus a GR Sport badge on the tailgate. Last but not least, up to 12 exterior colourway options are available for picking, with five of them featuring a two-tone finish with a blacked-out roof part.

The GR Sport treatment continues inside the Raize, where it now features black upholstery with contrast stitching that is paired with a matching black headliner. While the steering wheel is the only standard GR Sport part available here, buyers can get several optional bits like the GR-branded gear shifter and GR Sport metal scuff plates, to name a few.

Other key amenities primed here include a 9-inch central infotainment screen that supports Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a 7-inch TFT metre cluster, paddle shifters behind the steering wheel, and many more.
Unlike many other GR Sport models, Toyota has not given any mechanical or performance upgrades to the Raize GR Sport, as the subcompact SUV is still powered by the same 1.0-litre 3-cyl turbocharged petrol engine rated at 97 hp and 140 Nm. Power is sent exclusively to the front wheels (FWD) via the same D-CVT gearbox as before.

Now available for purchase in Indonesia, the new Toyota Raize GR Sport retails from IDR 292.1 million to IDR 317.1 million (RM69,940 to RM75,926), depending on the colour options and specifications. In Malaysia, the closest thing you can get to a GR Sport kit for the Perodua Ativa is the Gear Up official accessories from P2, which also includes a more rugged body kit and some interior trims, but minus the sporting pedigree the GR brand offers.
