The showroom in George Town has clinched Gold at the REKA Awards 2026, with Eddex Concept Sdn Bhd receiving the honour in the Interior Builders: Medium Projects category.

Presented by the Malaysian Institute of Interior Designers (MIID), the award recognises how well an interior building project is delivered, rather than the showroom's vehicle sales performance.
In other words, it's not just about how impressive a showroom looks, but how well the design is brought to life.
The Company Behind The Gold Is No Stranger To Car Showrooms
Here's something interesting: Eddex Concept isn't new to the automotive showroom business.
Its official project portfolio includes other BYD facilities in Sri Petaling, Ara Damansara and Tebrau, Johor Bahru, alongside a BMW showroom project in Balakong.
But BYD Mansion Macalister is a rather different proposition. The restored George Town landmark brings heritage architecture together with consultation lounges, digital touchpoints and personalised customer spaces, giving the showroom a setting far removed from the usual dealership.
