Lexus’s flagship drop-top grand tourer, the Lexus LC 500 Convertible, is a counterpart to the Coupe version, and it is an embodiment of beauty and performance in every sense.

This luxury supercar from the Japanese brand comes fully imported from its home country with a price tag of RM 1,302,815 on-the-road without insurance, inclusive of a 5-year/unlimited-mileage warranty.

The LC 500 Convertible’s dashboard design is sporty and very premium-looking with a design that is driver oriented and with the button clusters strategically placed.

Featuring high levels of craftsmanship, build quality and sweeping smooth surfaces, the cabin is covered in full black leather with metallic ornamentation for the upholstery. 

It gets an 8-inch colour TFT with heads up display and movable meter ring LFA-inspired instrument clusters, in which the tachometer display changes to emphasize priority information according to the selected drive mode.

The seats are finished in semi-aniline leather upholstery. Sport seats are fitted that come with 8-way power adjustments, 2-way lumbar support, heating and cooling for front passenger and driver with the driver’s seat getting a memory function. Being a two-door, the rear seat entry comes with a one-touch walk-in access.

The Lexus LC 500 Convertible offers enough space especially for a two-seater supercar.

It has numerous storage areas including medium sized door pockets, front door pockets, compartmentalized storage areas in the center console including a cavern storage space in the center console armrest and a decent-sized glove box with electronic push button access.

There are 2 cup holders, both located in the front.

The Lexus LC 500 Convertible gets one 12V power socket and two USB ports in the front. 

With 149-litres of boot space it is able to fit up to 2 medium suitcases with ease.

The measurements are 4,770 mm length, 1,920 mm width, 1,350 mm height, and weigh 2,055 kg with a wheelbase spanning 2,870 mm.

The Lexus LC 500 Convertible exudes a stunning and sharp exterior with a front layout that is very aggressive looking. 

It gets the brand’s trademark spindle front grille with chrome surrounds and diamond-studded mesh within it, and is paired to a low bonnet line resulting in a very sinister and focused face. 

It also gets paired with slim slit-like and sporty looking air inlets located at the sides of the bumper that are connected with the headlights. 

At the rear, the Lexus LC 500 Convertible gets a sportier layout to match the front featuring angular and striking lines, and the broad rear fenders aid in giving it a muscular outlook.

The sleek vent at the lower rear part of the door panels gives it a sporty edge and paired with the integrated boot lid that is kicked up and made wider to accentuate the car’s wide, low stance adds a lot of visual drama to the car.

Notably, said boot lid replaces the optional active spoiler on the coupe, and located at the bottom is a diffuser integrated with quad square-shaped chromed-out exhaust tips that finishes its overall athletic look. 

It gets a pair of ultra-compact 3-beam LED projector head lamps that look like an arrowhead with its sharp, slim and focused shape. It also features LED DRLs in an L-shaped design.

The overall positioning of the head lamps is pointed inwards into the grille to give it a fierce looking face which adds to the whole athletic theme.

At the back, the tail lights are made of LED combination units with infinity mirror effect. Also present are slit-like LED fog lamps located atop the exhausts.

The slim and slit-like futuristic design exudes a supercar vibe that complements the front’s sharp façade stunningly. 

The side mirrors are power adjusted and power folded with heater and memory functions and blind-spot indicators.

The LC 500 Convertible rides on a set of 21-inch Forged, in 2-tone polished finish with black coating rims that are wrapped in 245/40R F21 run-flat tyres for the front and 275/35R F21 run-flat tyres for the rear.

The Lexus LC 500 Convertible comes with the Lexus Safety System + which has the following. The Lexus LC 500 Convertible harbours a 5.0-litre naturally aspirated 32-valve DOHC with dual VVT-I Atkinson Cycle, V8 petrol engine. It generates 470 hp of max output at 7,100 rpm and 540 Nm of max torque at 4,800 rpm.

It gets a 10-speed direct shift automatic transmission.

Rear-wheel-drive

The Lexus LC 500 Convertible can go from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.9 seconds and hit a top speed of 270 km/h.
