Lexus LS

The Lexus LS is currently on its 5th generation, and there are three variants available; The available variants of the LS include the 2020 LS 500, 2021 LS 500 Luxury and the 2021 LS 500 Executive Kiriko. Prices are RM 1.01 million, RM 1.02 million and RM 1.3 million, respectively. These prices do not include insurance. The LS highlights comfort, versatility and class.

The design is a modern and futuristic digital cockpit layout that gives a more commanding feel to the vehicle.

The instrument cluster is made up of a full LCD multi-function display.

The car comes with 5 seats for maximum comfort. All seats are finished in leather and are electrically adjustable. The driver seat comes with 28-Way power-adjustable seats with memory function and the rear seats come with 22-way power-adjustable seats with passenger-side ottoman as well as heating, cooling and massage functions (only for the LS 500 Executive).

Both front and rear passengers will be spoiled with maximum comfort as the LS was designed for the individuals’ greatest convenience. The vehicle will leave no shortage of leg space even for passengers that are six-footers who have fully extended their seat.

The car has a glove compartment that can fit not only the car manual and service booklet but also is able to fit some essential items such as face masks and sanitisers or even tissues for a quick fix. There are also multiple other storage space options in the vehicle such as the cavern beneath the front central armrest.

There are 4 cup holders and 4 bottle holders available in the LS. Two cup holders are located in front and two in the second-row armrest. There is one bottle holder located at each door panel.

The vehicle has 3 USB charging ports; one in the front and two in the rear. 

The available boot space for the LS 500 Executive is 440 litres.

The measurements are 5,235 mm in length, 1,900 mm in width, 1,450 mm in height, with a wheelbase spanning 3,125 mm.

The LS gives a luxurious and classy look with the main focus being the signature spindle design mesh grille as well as the shiny elements of the front bumper.

The rear of the LS displays their sleek design that focuses on the flared fenders and full LED combination rear lamps with a distinctive sequential illumination turn signal.

The front headlamps are LED projection units that also include fog lights, built-in LED daytime running lights and dynamic indicators.

The tail lamps are LED combination units that also include LED fog lamps and dynamic indicators.

Both LS variants come with 20-inch alloy wheels.

The LS has the following active safety features; automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, adaptive cruise control, active lane control, road sign detection, forward-collision warnings, lane-departure warnings, and blind-spot monitors.

The passive features include ten airbags, ISOFIX in the second-row child seat anchors, reverse camera as well as front and rear parking sensors.

There are six DMS profiles available which are Eco, Normal, Comfort, Custom, Sport, or Sport+ mode, to choose from to suit their needs.

The driver assistance available are HUD-Linked Pedestrian Alert, active steering assist, front PCS w/pedestrian detection, front lateral side PCS, all-speed dynamic radar cruise control, lane tracing assist, front cross-traffic alert, road sign assist, intelligent high beams, lane departure alert with steering assist.

Features a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system that has gesture control and is compatible with Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto.

The LS is equipped with a 3.5 litre, twin-turbo petrol V6 engine. The car produces 415 hp at 6,000 rpm and 600 Nm of torque at 1,600 to 4,800 rpm.

The LS comes with a ten-speed automatic transmission.

Power is sent to the rear wheels.

The LS is able to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.0 seconds.

The average fuel consumption for the LS 500 Executive is approximately 9.5 l/100km.

The LS comes with a touchscreen audio display system, Apple carplay and Android Auto, automatic headlamps, adaptive cruise control, leather steering wheel, dual illuminating vanity mirrors, electrochromic inside rearview mirror, electric power steering, tilt and telescopic steering wheel, transmission, cruise and audio controls on steering wheel, power door locks with remote keyless entry system and push-start button with the smart key.

The quality of the ride is firm and the seats are very comfortable. 

The sound insulation in the car is effortless as road and wind noises were suppressed.
