Mercedes-Benz EQS 500 4MATIC is the locally assembled flagship electric luxury sedan in Mercedes-Benz Malaysia’s EQ range, produced at the company’s Pekan plant in Pahang.

Malaysia receives a single EQS 500 4MATIC Electric Art Line, priced at RM648,888 on-the-road without insurance.

Its dual-motor electric drivetrain produces 330 KW (443 HP) and 828 NM, driving all four wheels through 4MATIC. A 108.4 KWH usable lithium-ion battery provides up to 696 KM WLTP range, while 0-100 KM/H takes 4.8 seconds.

The defining feature of the EQS cabin is the enormous MBUX Hyperscreen, extending approximately 141 CM across the dashboard beneath a single curved glass surface.

It integrates a 12.3-INCH digital instrument cluster, 17.7-INCH OLED central touchscreen and 12.3-INCH OLED front passenger display.

The Electric Art cabin is complemented by 64-colour ambient lighting and premium decorative trim.

A large floating centre console provides storage, cup holders and connectivity functions.

The absence of a conventional transmission tunnel creates additional open storage beneath the console.

The Electric Art Line rides on 20-INCH five-spoke light-alloy wheels.

These are fitted with 255/45 R20 tyres at both the front and rear.

The aerodynamically optimised design prioritises efficiency and ride comfort over the larger wheels used on sportier AMG Line versions.

Active safety equipment includes ABS, Electronic Brake-force Distribution, Brake Assist, Electronic Stability Control and traction management.

Mercedes-Benz DYNAMIC SELECT provides selectable driving programmes including Eco, Comfort, Sport and Individual.

Maximum DC fast charging reaches 200 KW, allowing the battery to recharge from 10-80% in approximately 31 minutes.

Standard convenience equipment includes KEYLESS-GO, powered and ventilated front seats with memory, electrically adjustable rear seating, automatic wipers and contactless powered liftback operation.

A large panoramic sliding glass roof further increases the sense of space.
