A first-generation (P01A) build, the B-segment (compact crossover SUV) Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) underpins Perodua’s in-house developed electric platform.

Locally assembled (CKD – Selangor), available via Perodua Sales Sdn Bhd is one variant (QV-E – RM80,000 – without EV battery).

Price (OTR, w/o insurance) includes general vehicle (three years/100,000 km), body (six years/150,000 km) and drive unit (eight years/150,000 km) warranties.

EV battery leasing (Perodua ‘Battery-as-a-Service’ – BaaS) programme (monthly subscription: RM275 – 1-to-1 battery replacement: <70% health).

Dashboard

The all-new QV-E has a symmetrically horizontal and tiered dashboard, linked to a slim-high-rising-floating centre console (rotary gear selector, vehicle telematics, wireless charger, armrest, storages).

Soft-/hard-touched (dash, steering wheel, centre console, doors), it sees one colour scheme (dual-tone: Black-Silver) with contrast trims (Gloss Black).

Equipped are driver/central displays (instrument cluster, infotainment), an air-conditioning system (vents: rectangular – control panel: buttons) and an ambient lighting system (seven colours).

Inclusively, the layout is ergonomic (functional), with accessibilities purposefully arranged (driver-oriented, user-friendly).

Instrument Cluster

Installed is a 10.25-inch HD TFT-LCD (Thin-Film Transistor-Liquid Crystal Display) fully digital (Multi-Information Display – MID) driver display (instrument cluster).

Seats

Comfortable, the interior sees fabric-leatherette upholstery in one colour scheme (single-tone: Black) with decorative pattern (random squares) and contrast stitching (Red).

The front gets electric-powered (driver: multi-way-adjust) and manual-operated (passenger: multi-way-adjust) bolstered seats. The rear gets a manual-operated (60:40 split-fold) bolstered bench (three-seater).

Included are armrests (front: centre console, rear: centre seat fold-out), headrests (front, rear) and a headliner (fabric: Black).

Space

A five-seater (compact crossover SUV), the cabin offers generous space with comfortable seatings, providing ample interior mobility for the occupants (front, rear). 

Sufficient head, shoulder and leg rooms.

Steering Functions

Mounted is a two-spoke-flat-bottom steering wheel. Leather (single-tone: Black) with contrast trims (Silver).

Features are multi-switches (Bluetooth, media, voice assistant, vehicle telematics) and column adjustments (tilt, telescopic).

Aiding the drive is an Electric Power Steering (EPS) system (5.2 m).

Storage Space

Weighing in at 1,600 kg, the all-new QV-E stands at 4,170 mm long, 1,800 mm wide, 1,502 mm tall and with a wheelbase spanning 2,680 mm.

Front View

Aerodynamically sporty, it parades a roundly angular and sharp exterior, emphasised by seamlessly sculpted and clean-cut contours.

The front-end sees a formed bonnet (raised sides, Perodua emblem), muscular quarter panels (fender flares) and a sculpted bumper (grille-omitted, light strip, lower vented).

Accentuations, body clad (Black: fender flares, side sills, lower side doors), body trims (Black: vents, side mirrors, window surrounds, A-/B-pillars – Chrome: Perodua emblem) and flush door handles (front: body-colour – rear: black).

Rear View

Athletically tapered, it continues the roundly angular and sharp profile, emphasised by sleekly sculpted and horizontally aligned surfaces.

The rear-end (sportback) sees a sloping roofline (roof-edge spoiler, shark fin antenna), an upright tailgate (light strip, Perodua/QV-E emblems), muscular quarter panels (fender flares) and a covered bumper (diffuser: exhaust-omitted).

Headlamps

Tail Lamps

Slim and elongated, the tail lamps are framed full width (lightbar) with angularly sharp wraparound edges. Installed are full LED units.

Side Mirror

Power is rooted to the front wheels, via a Front-Wheel Drive (FWD) system.

Acceleration

0 to 100 km/h acceleration is done in 7.5 secs, and the top speed is electronically capped at 165 km/h.

Fuel Consumption

Powering the e-motor is a Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP – 52.5 kWh) battery (CATL-sourced), enabling a driving range (NEDC/WLTP) of 445 km/370 km.

DC charging (CCS2 – 60 kW), takes 30 mins for a 30% to 80% State of Charge (SoC). AC charging (Type 2 – 6.6 kW), takes 8.0 hours for a 0% to 100% SoC.

Included is a Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) function for powering of external devices.

Underpinned is Perodua’s in-house developed electric platform. Propping-up the e-chassis is a suspension setup of MacPherson strut (front) and torsion beam (rear).

Ride comfortability feels flexible and firm at the same time. The e-crossover SUV delivers a comfortable and light steering feel with smooth overall electric performance.

Sound Insulation

Good sound insulation with most of the NVH (noise, vibration, harshness) aspects accounted for. The ride is quiet, refined and the road noise is mostly muted.
