Hans de Visser Appointed as BMW Group Malaysia’s New Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer
BMW Group AG has just appointed Hans de Visser as BMW Group Malaysia’s new Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) effective from May 1, 2021.

Harald Hoelzl, the current Managing Director, will take on a new position at BMW Group AG, and De Visser will take over his role and responsibilities.
De Visser has over 29 years of experience in different areas at the BMW Group. Starting from a Manager in Marketing Communications at BMW Motorrad, Munich, he has now served in various Sales and Marketing roles globally - Middle East, Central Eastern Europe, Spain as well as the BMW Group headquarter in Munich.
“Hans’ broad experience in various roles in marketing and sales, as well as his international background will be extremely valuable in his new position.” stated its senior vice-president for region Asia Pacific, Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa, Hendrik von Kuenheim.
Hoelzl will be accompanying de Visser in his first two months in the role, before resuming a new role for the BMW Group in Vienna, Austria.
“I also want to take the opportunity to thank Harald for his work over the last few years in Malaysia.He and his team made BMW Number One in the segment and strengthened the position of the company in the country,” von Kuenheim added.
Under the lead of Hoelzl, BMW Group Malaysia has consistently bagged the Number One position with over 52 percent of the segment’s market share. A Net Promoter Scoring (NPS) of over 90 percent positive satisfaction responses from customers was also recorded by BMW Group Malaysia, making it the highest achievement in BMW Group’s network.

Additionally, Hoelzl has also successfully led BMW Group Malaysia in becoming the number one Electrified Mobility provider as well as the best locally produced automotive assembler in Malaysia.
