World expert in hand-building junior cars, ‘The Little Car Company’ have begun deliveries for the limited-edition ‘Pur Sang’ and ‘Vitesse’ models of the Bugatti Baby II to patrons worldwide.

This little masterpiece was built in partnership with Bugatti to rejoice in Bugatti’s 110th anniversary and a tribute to Ettore Bugatti’s original masterpiece, the 1926 Bugatti Baby.

The Little Car Company’s chief executive officer Ben Hedley expressed, “We are thrilled that clients are taking delivery of these extraordinary little cars. The Bugatti Baby II is truly a contemporary tribute to Ettore Bugatti’s original masterpiece, and we are very proud to see these arrive with their owners.”

500 bespoke Bugatti Baby II creations have rolled out. This reimagined car has garnered a lot of attention, especially towards its modern-day engineering based on the original Type 35.

One of the first Bugatti Baby II masterpieces has arrived at its patron, a private jet terminal operator in Dubai. This bespoke carbon fibre ‘Vitesse’ model of the Baby II will serve as private transfers to VIP sections of the Al Maktoum International Airport.

Another one, to a private Bugatti collector in Belgium. This version of the Bugatti Baby II expands an already extensive Bugatti collection, which comprises a Type 35 A, the original Bugatti Baby and several other Pre-War Bugatti’s.

Indeed, just like any road-going hyper sports car to leave the Bugatti Atelier in Molsheim, bespoke customizations and unique options come a given.

Thus, all of the cars made by ‘The Little Car Company’ are entirely individual, with patrons able to embellish their mark on their Bugatti Baby II.

On the one hand, the carbon fibre ‘Vitesse’ model of the Baby II delivered to Dubai features a 2.8 kWh battery pack, upgraded powertrain and a Speed Key akin to the road-going Bugatti Chiron.

It has been highly customized with the client’s bespoke colour, the ‘Jetex Orange’, a vibrant hue that has been developed especially for this Bugatti Baby II.

Additionally, this particular commission has also been fitted with the Touring Pack that features a high-power LED headlight upgrade, brake light package, mudguard and fender package and an upgraded wiring harness.

Also, the exterior options opted by the client includes a personalized number plate and custom reflective chrome logos on both the back of the car’s mirror and on the vehicle’s steering wheel, made using 3D high-resolution stereolithography.

Said 3D printing process has also been used to create the car’s wheel nut covers, including the carrying spare, which also features individualized reflective chrome logos.

Diving inside, the upholstery has been embroidered with premium leather seats with pearlized metallic alongside a pebbled grain finish. In addition, the client has further opted for a Transport Case that enables safe transport of the vehicle in a hand-built, ‘Jetex’ branded orange case.

On the other hand, paying homage to the classic Bugatti models, the hand-formed aluminium ‘Pur-Sang’ version delivered to Belgium has been designed to match the colour hue of the client’s original Bugatti Type 35, which is akin to the current Bugatti Chiron range.

Paired with the ‘Nocturne Black’ exterior and interior leather in ‘Terre D’or’ shade, this ‘Pur Sang’ Bugatti Baby II exhibits a beautiful blend between creative modern designs and the brand’s history.

Furthermore, similar to the original, each car comes with a unique chassis number. Thereby, to match the original Bugatti Baby in their collection, this ‘Pur Sang’ Baby II’s owner successfully bid on the chassis ‘388’ to match the original Bugatti Baby.

Elaborating further on the Bugatti Baby II, targeted at the collectors, it comes in three variants, the Base, ‘Vitesse’ and ‘Pur Sang’ models.

Both the latter versions harbour the same powertrain. However, the difference is, unlike the ‘Vitesse’, the ‘Pur Sang’ was built with beautiful, hand-formed aluminium bodywork.

Consequently, using the same traditional coachbuilding techniques as the original Bugatti Type 35, each aluminium body takes more than two hundred hours of skilled craftsmanship to create.

Other than that, the performance also lives up to the Bugatti marque. All three versions of the Baby II come exclusively in rear-wheel drive, all-electric powertrain, high-performance hydraulic brakes and selectable driving modes.

For instance, the Base model features two drive modes. A Novice mode, which is limited to 20 km/h (12 mph) and 1 kW (1.3 bhp) of power and an Expert mode, which has been capped at 45 km/h (30 mph) and 4 kW (5.4 bhp) of power.

As for the ‘Vitesse’ and ‘Pur Sang’ models, aside from the two aforementioned drive modes, these two add extra performance in terms of an upgraded powertrain, unlocked by the legendary Bugatti Speed Key.

Hence, enabling the 230 kg ‘Vitesse’ and ‘Pur Sang’ models to discharge up to 10 kW (13.4 bhp) of power output and achieving a top speed of 70 km/h (42 mph). It can dash from a standstill to 60 km/h in just 6 seconds, although depending on the load.

Hedley concluded, “Each and every Bugatti Baby II has been lovingly hand-built to the client’s exact specifications, so each vehicle leaving our workshop is genuinely one-of-a-kind. We can’t wait to see these vehicles cherished for years to come and hope to have inspired a new generation of young Bugatti enthusiasts.”

Unique is the whole Bugatti experience offered. Every Bugatti Baby II owner will get inducted into the prestigious Bugatti Owner’s Club and The Little Car Club, which will allow owners to drive their Bugatti Baby II on renowned racetracks worldwide.

In addition, presented along with the Bugatti Baby II, is a beautiful Bugatti branded box consisting of the owner’s manual and keys.

To top it off, clients were presented with an exclusive book detailing the story of the handcrafted Bugatti Baby II and how the vision of its creators became a reality, ‘The Bugatti Baby II – A History’.
