One-off Bugatti Chiron Super Sport Golden Era
The iconic Bugatti Chiron Super Sport is due for an upgrade, with its next-gen replacement – penned by recently-retired Director of Design, Achim Anscheidt – is coming in a few years’ time. Ahead of the new model’s debut, one Bugatti collector has decided to give the Chiron a well-deserved swansong, in the form of this one-off Bugatti Chiron Super Sport Golden Era.
Commissioned via Bugatti’s Sur Mesure bespoke program, the Chiron Golden Era took almost two years to complete, with 400 hours of manpower dedicated to creating the artwork featured on the car’s body. It features an intricate drawing of Bugatti’s past iconic models such as the Type 41 Royale, Type 57 SC Atlantic, as well as several modern Bugattis like the EB110 and Veyron. All of them are drawn directly on the car’s body using special pens.
Serving as a canvas to these drawings is the unique two-tone gradient hue that goes from Nocturne Black to Dore Gold. Aside from that, the Chiron Golden Era also rides on a snazzy-looking set of wheels, also finished in black-gold dual tone hue to match the bodypaint.
On board, the Chiron Golden Era features more hand-drawn artwork, with the front fascia of three Bugatti models directly drawn on both the door cards. The driver’s side has the EB110, Veyron and Chiron, while the passenger side is donned with the Type 35 racing car, the Type 57 SC Atlantic, and the Type 41 Royale.
Apart from the artwork, the cabin is laced with two shades of leather and some carbon fibre trims in between them. The “One-Off” lettering is embossed on the central console, while the seats are embroidered with “Golden Era” stitching.
The one-off Bugatti Chiron Super Sport Golden Era will make its public debut at the upcoming Monterey Car Week, where it will be handed over to its owner. Aside from this special model, other Bugatti iconic models will also be presented during this event.
While Bugatti never mentioned the total bill for this bespoke model, it is safe to say that the Chiron Golden Era will be much more expensive than the standard Chiron Super Sport, which is tagged at €3.2 million (RM16.144 million approx.).
