How Are Malaysian Citizens Still Confused About The Lockdown SOPs?

It seems that many do not know or ‘pretend not to know’ the current Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) during this lockdown period.

According to an incident in the Jempol area, Negeri Sembilan, an average long-distance couple (PJJ) made an application to cross states and districts even though the government has announced travel restrictions for PJJs during the lockdown period.

"So far, the police have rejected a total of 267 cross -state and district applications involving PJJ applications," said Jempol District Police Chief, Superintendent Hoo Chang Hook.

Following that, his party has tightened the application of cross -district and state forms. So far, the Jempol police have also rejected 1437 requests to cross -state that are not allowed according to the SOP of the National Security Council.

According to him, apart from cross -state and cross -district issues, the police also found that many were still confused about how many individuals are allowed in a single vehicle.

His party also had to reject the permission applications for more than two people to ride in a single vehicle as most of them also submitted incomplete documents.

That being said, the implementation of the total lockdown since June 1 was quite different from the previous Movement Control Order (PKP) as all citizens had to make sacrifices! Some had to close down businesses, some had to close down factories.

So, it is advised that all citizens adhere to the SOPs in order to flatten the curve of COVID-19. Stay home and stay safe!
