- The First-Ever Long-Wheelbase BMW 3 Series Is Here!
BMW Group Malaysia, the official distributor for BMW, MINI and BMW Motorrad vehicles in Malaysia, has officially launched the first-ever BMW 330Li M Sport that was revealed in April this year.
The long-wheelbase sedan is priced at RM277,164.22 excluding insurance, including the sales and service tax exemption, which is valid until the end of this year. If it includes the two-year, unlimited mileage warranty and the five-year extended warranty and service package, it comes down to RM290,284.
“We are pleased to commence booking for the latest addition to our portfolio of locally-assembled premium vehicles in Malaysia: the first-ever BMW 330Li M Sport. Following our successful performance in the first half of 2021 globally, we believe the first-ever locally-assembled long-wheelbase BMW 3 Series model will continue to bring joy to our customers in Malaysia as it opens up an avenue for BMW customers and enthusiasts to experience Sportiness in New Dimensions,” said its managing director Hans de Visser in a statement.
The key difference between the 330Li and 330i is the wheelbase dimensions. The wheelbase is now 110mm longer to 2,961mm. At the same time, the 330Li is also 6mm taller at 1,441mm and 110mm longer in length, compared to the standard 3 Series. Compared to the 5-series, the 330Li is 144mm shorter in length and 14 mm shorter in wheelbase.
Powering the BMW 330Li M Sport is the 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine that produces 254 hp from 5,000 to 6,500 rpm and 400 Nm of torque between 1,550 and 4,400 rpm. It is mated to the eight-speed automatic gearbox with paddle shifters, delivering its power to its rear wheels.
BMW claims that the 330Li can complete the century sprint in 6.2 seconds, and the top speed is capped at 250 km/h. It has a fuel consumption rating of 6.4 litres per 100 km, while the carbon emission is recorded at 147 g/km.
Some of the key features of the 330Li include the M Sport and M Aerodynamic packages that come with the 18-inch M light-alloy wheels with run-flat tyres, double-sided trapezoidal exhaust tailpipes finishers, sportier bumpers, and side skirts. It also has 480 litres of boot space, light bars behind the front seats that are connected to the 11-colour ambient lighting system, adaptive LED headlights, panoramic glass roof, welcome light carpet, Vernasca leather upholstery, powered adjusted front seats with memory function for the driver, wireless Qi charger, BMW Live Cockpit Professional with 12.3-inch digital instrument display and a 10.25-inch centre touchscreen and the 10-speaker, 205-watt sound system.
On top of that, the 330Li is also equipped with keyless entry with a push start button, triple-zone automatic climate control, auto-dimming rearview mirrors, auto lights, auto wipers, passive cruise control, parking assist, reversing assist, a reverse camera, autonomous emergency braking, lane-keeping assist, blind-spot monitoring, forward collision warning, cross-traffic warning, rear collision prevention, and hands-free opening tailgate.
Owners of the BMW 330Li M Sport can digitally interact through the new My BMW App, which will replace the current BMW Connected App.
There are two colour options for the BMW 330Li M Sport: the Mineral White and Carbon Black paired with the Mocha interior with black stitching.
The first-ever BMW 330Li M Sport is available at all authorized BMW dealerships nationwide from July 16, 2021. However, according to the latest Movement Control Order, all dealerships will be closed for physical viewing. Customers are encouraged to view the 330Li M Sport online via the BMW Shop Online Platform shop.bmw.com.my .
With the Balloon Financing Plan from BMW Group Financial Services Malaysia, the new BMW 330Li M can be owned with a monthly instalment plan starting from RM 3,078.00, based on an estimated 80 per cent loan on a five-year tenure.
