- Audi Works Council Gives Christmas Donation
The Audi Works Council has donated a total of €520,000 (RM 2.47 million) to charity and social institutions, organisations, and associations in the region after 99.7 percent of Audi’s Ingolstadt employees donated.
Like every year, the company also contributed to the Christmas donation, increasing the amount to €720,000 (RM 3.42 million).
However, this year, no ceremonial presentation will be held due to the Corona pandemic. According to the Audi General Works Council Chairman, Peter Mosch, the pandemic has affected everyone in many ways.
The carmaker is also struggling to overcome the strained supply situation for electronic components and bottlenecks in the supply chain.
Yet despite the many challenges, Audi throws its weight into cooperation in the region and accepts social responsibility. Mosch, in his statement, also thanked the Audi employees on behalf of the Works Council for their donation.
For the record, the tradition was started by former Works Council chairman Fritz Böhm, and it has been going on for over 40 years.
