- Lexus UX As Leading Model among Its Segments
As global news reported, Lexus has declared the new UX 200/250h to be introduce this year in 2022.
However, the official date has not been released.
Referring to high demands and expanding line-up of electrified vehicles of Hybrid (HEV) and battery EV (BEV), the model has driven home by owners in more than 80 states and regions as end of March this year.
Meanwhile, UMW Toyota Motor stated the month of April 2022 recorded a total unit of 6,868 and 78 Lexus vehicles were sold.
The number hikes around 11 percent after total sales for the year-to-date is at 29,138 units with a combined number of 29,393 units for both Toyota and Lexus compared to April 2021 year-to-date.
Lexus UX was first launched in 2018 and leading model among its segment as EV series.
The upgraded model is now equipped with a 12.3-inch, or 8-inch HD infotainment system with a state-of the art multimedia system.
Lexus UX also receives Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, which features several exclusive functions of the iPhone and Android devices on the in-vehicle display.
Aside from having Apple CarPlay that supports Wi-Fi wireless connection, two USB charging connectors (Type-C) have also been added in the front of the console.
According to Lexus South Africa, the shapes and switch layout of the instrument panel and console area have been optimised in accordance with the use of the touch-screen display.
In terms of the styling there are few makeovers done concerning its front headlamps and rear combination lamps. Now, Lexus is also getting new body hues both inside and outside of this urban compact crossover.
There are more key aspects that revamped Lexus UX into a more interactive vehicle which touches its cockpit usability, safety system and driving performance.
