- 2023 XPeng P7 Electric Sedan Spotted in China
The XPeng P7 will soon be updated by the Chinese EV maker XPeng, and online spy shots of the new sedan have been circulating. By mid-2023, the most recent P7 model is expected to be available, and according to spy photos, both the exterior and interior have undergone some alterations.
The photos imply that the headlight shape may alter even though the automobile remains its current external shape. The test vehicle's headlights appear to be longer and narrower than those on the present model. Also, it looks that the improved P7 has LiDar installed on both sides of the headlights.
There are rumours that the new P7 may be constructed on the business' 800V high-voltage SiC platform, albeit there is no official confirmation of this. If this occurs, the automobile is anticipated to have a five-minute charging time and a driving range of more than 700 miles.
The armrest box and cupholder in the automobile have fresh designs. Additionally, there are two locations on the centre console specifically designated for mobile devices that will facilitate wireless charging. A multifunction steering wheel, similar to the steering on the new G9 SUV, is one of the additional improvements.
The use of metal buttons and rollers in the steering reduces the likelihood of unintentional contact. The vehicle also features a dual-screen layout and the Xmart OS 4.0. The new operating system and user interface for XPeng are called the Xmart OS 4.0, and it has capabilities including 3D renderings of the region around the car.
Sales figures provided by the firm indicate that the P7 sedan outperforms other XPeng vehicles and is one of the brand's best sellers. Xpeng supplied 15,295 automobiles in June alone. P7s made up 8,045 deliveries, P5s made up 5,598, and the remaining 1,652 were G3i and G3 SUVs.
Owners of the P7 have received OTA updates earlier this month from XPeng. The new upgrade enhances 12 features and gives the vehicle seven new capabilities, including a reminder for the backseat. The rear-seat reminder function alerts drivers to retrieve goods or passengers from the back seat when it senses activity there while the car is parked.
