Porsche Increases Sales Revenue, Operating Profit And Return On Sales
Strong increase in the first half of the year for Porsche AG as its sales revenue and operating profit in the first six months of 2022 have grown significantly.
Outstandingly, the figures went up to EUR 17.92 billion (RM 81,715,289,421) and 3.48 billion (RM 15,868,817,365) respectively.
Meaning, the return on sales in the first half of 2022 increased to 19.4 percent from 16.9 percent in the previous-year period.
Compared to the first six months of 2021, Porsche’s sales revenue was EUR 16.53 billion (RM 75,389,758,115) and operating profit was EUR 2.79 billion (RM 12,724,587,122).
This represents a growth of up to 8.5 percent in revenue and 24.6 percent in operating profit. From January to June 2022, total vehicles delivered was 145,860, whereas, in 2021, it sold 153,656 units.
The company is aiming for return on sales of around 17 and 18 percent for 2022, with sales revenue of roughly between EUR 38 billion (RM 172,831,253,630) and EUR 39 billion (RM 177,393,323,835).
Porsche AG’s executive board deputy chairman and executive board member for finance and IT, Lutz Meschke, expressed, “We are proud to have made significant gains in sales revenue and earnings in this difficult market environment. It’s been a real team effort by the workforce and management.”
Elsewhere, Porsche’s automotive net cash flow in the first half of 2022 was EUR 2.39 billion (RM 10,882,977,567), while in 2021 was EUR 2.60 billion (RM 11,839,222,457).
Meschke concluded, “Despite continued robust investment in our future projects, we were again able to generate strong automotive net cash flow. We believe our cash flow focus is paying off here.”
