The face-lifted Porsche 911 GT3 (992.2) has gained a new upgrade pack from specialists Manthey Racing.

For those not familiar with Mathey Racing (Manthey Racing GmbH), don’t worry, we’ve got you covered. The firm’s relationship is similar to what BMW has with Alpina.
Owned by Porsche, the firm was established in 1996 by its namesake founder Olaf Manthey, and has served as the Stuttgart sportscar marque’s go-to specialists for all things racing and track-focused tuning.
Besides building and running racecars for both works and customer Porsche teams, Manthey Racing also produces upgrades for the 911 GT models that are offered as official options by the automaker in select markets.

Key aero upgrades include a fully revised front and rear bumper, the latter gaining new diffuser set too, followed by a large swan neck carbon fibre wing plus new 20/21-inch aero wheels.

The latest fruit from Manthey Racing sees it ready a new full-blown upgrade pack for the recently refreshed 992.2-gen Porsche 911 GT3 model. Essentially, if you thought the 911 GT3 RS was a little too extreme, then this is stealthier and more understated alternative to which.
From said pack, key aero upgrades consists of a revised front bumper with new air vents, carbon fibre canards plus a new splitter, new side skirts set, an overhauled rear fascia with rear diffuser added, aerodynamic wheels, and a large carbon swan neck fibre rear wing.
Altogether, said aero additions improves upon the stock 992.2-gen 911 GT3 model’s downforce levels of 355 KG up to a whopping 540 KG – almost full racecar levels. Of course, that’s not all.
Despite having no powertrain tweaks, the new kit improves upon its predecessor by lapping the famed Nurburgring Nordschleife course 2.76 secs quicker at 6 mins 52.981 secs.

Underneath, Manthey Racing also brings enhanced agility to match thanks to new 39-inch longer turning vanes, new springs that are 10% stiffer versus the previous model’s kit, as well as lightweight 20- (front) and 21-inch (rear) forged wheels.
Surprisingly, this new Manthey Racing kit brings little to no powertrain tweaks. Despite which, this new 992.2-gen Porsche 911 GT3 has lapped the famed Nurburgring Nordscheilife faster than its pre-facelift predecessor did.
Simply put, the Manthey Racing-kitted 992.2-gen 911 GT3 is built for those who find the 911 GT3 RS a little too extreme, but want similar sharpness with an understated touch.

In fact, having logged in a laptime of 6 mins 52.981 secs, the new Manthey-kitted 992.2-gen 911 GT3 is some 2.76 seconds quicker than its predecessor at this famed course. That’s impressive indeed despite having no serious powertrain upgrades.
