- The ‘Pebble Beach Collection 2022’, Rolls Royce At Monterey Car Week
A spectacular line-up of bespoke builds showcased at the Monterey Car Week, the ‘Pebble Beach Collection 2022’ by Rolls Royce.
Colourful and exclusive, the assemblage of Rolls Royce commissions consists of the new Phantom Series II, a Black Badge Cullinan and a Ghost.
Two of the latter commissions revealed never-before-seen colours and finishes from Goodwood, while the former made its North American debut for the first time.
‘Pebble Beach Collection 2022’ - Phantom Series II
Uniquely beautiful, the Phantom Series II commission unveiled at Monterey has been coined ‘Maverick’ by the Rolls Royce bespoke designers.
Radiating a new expression for the Phantom breed, it features two unique bespoke elements, utilising light and extending the impact of the iconic Starlight Headliner to the exterior.
Its Pantheon Grille is illuminated, with each metal vane precisely finished to provide a subtle glow. Flanking it are headlights graced with 580 intricate laser-cut bezel star lights.
Combined, these elements create a visual connection with the iconic Starlight Headliner inside and add to the Phantom's night time presence.
Elsewhere, the exterior is finished in a classic Rolls Royce two-tone colourway with Black over Monteverde Green highlighting a bold, hand-applied Peony Pink coachline.
Upon opening the coach doors, its interior suite of Scivaro Grey is offset by a vibrant colour pop from large swatches in Peony Pink.
Then, the Obsydian Ayous open pore wood and Canadel panelling present a contemporary yet warm look and feel.
For the Gallery in this special commission, it features a world first with a unique embroidery design finished in Scivaro Grey with a Peony Pink thread.
Completing its exclusivity as part of the marque’s special collection, the Phantom Series II ‘Maverick’ gets a personalised tread plate which reads, ‘Pebble Beach 2022’ Special Commission.
‘Pebble Beach Collection 2022’ - Black Badge Cullinan
Serving as a bold reminder that the Black Badge line doesn’t always have to be black, this particular commission extends the Black Badge colour palette to a whole new level.
Forbidden Pink is the colour that cloaks this Black Badge Cullinan, and this colour selection has never been used before on a Rolls Royce motor car.
The interior suite also defies conventional Black Badge stereotypes with bright Grace White hand-crafted leather, subtly balanced by Cashmere Grey highlights.
Accompanying it is Lime Green leather upholstery details that add the perfect amount of colour to the interior’s overall design.
To top it all off, opening the rear tailgate reveals the Cullinan’s iconic ‘Bespoke Viewing Suite’ seating feature, and also for the first time, is in Peony Pink leather.
‘Pebble Beach Collection 2022’ - Ghost
Another world premiere of a bespoke colour finish, Rolls Royce’s post-opulent, the Ghost in Crystal over Sagano Green.
Created with six layers of finish, highly skilled artisans from the marque’s Exterior Surface Finish Centre spent hours meticulously hand-polishing each layer.
Before the final two clear coatings are completed, the Crystal finish is applied with fragments of colour specks to create a radiant, multi-dimensional shimmer on its exterior design.
Running the length of the exterior is a hand-applied coachline that beautifully complements the pinstripe tires on the Ghost’s gloss black painted wheels.
Perfection, the hours of hand polishing are inspected in a specially designed light booth to ensure a flawless finish before this Ghost was delivered to Monterey.
Rolls Royce - Monterey Car Week
All in all, during the Monterey Car Week, Rolls Royce has also displayed additional bespoke commissions created by its design team, yet this collection stands out among the rest.
For all aficionados, these unique creations from the ‘Pebble Beach Collection 2022’ are being offered exclusively through authorised retailers.
