10th Anniversary of Rider Development Project - Honda Motor and Idemitsu
Honda Motor Co., Ltd. and Idemitsu Kosan Co., Ltd. celebrated their 10th Anniversary of the Rider Development Project at Japan Grand Prix which the track is known as both companies’ home race.
The project has many accomplishments, including Yuki Takahashi competing in Moto2 and Takaaki Nakagami to compete in MotoGP in 2018, which was then followed by Ai Ogura as well as Somkiat Chantra.
More than that, these successes would not have been possible without the ongoing efforts of the riders, team managers, teams, Honda and Dorna, and the support of all its fans.
‘’For Honda, this project which is part of its racing activities in the Asia region to make the dreams of young riders aspiring to race in the MotoGP class come true, is very meaningful.
I am truly grateful for Idemitsu’s continued support for this project’’ added Director, President and Representative Executive Officer of Honda Motor, Toshihiro Mibe.
He also hopes that motorsports will gain further in popularity, through more and more Asian riders competing in the premier MotoGP class.
