Vinfast & CATL signed MOU to promote e-mobility

VinFast Trading & Manufacturing Joint Stock Company (VinFast) has inked an agreement with Contemporary Amperex Technology Co., Limited (CATL) through an MOU to expand CIIC (CATL integrated intelligent chassis) skateboard chassis products.

Through this partnership, CATL and VinFast could study different avenues of cooperation on CIIC skateboard chassis that allows the car maker to have quick access in the global market.

According to the press release, the CIIC skateboard chassis combines battery packs, electric motors, and other critical units into a single layer at the vehicle's bottom, lowering purchasing costs and energy consumption while increasing cabin space.

Aside from that, the collaboration also promotes battery innovation which enable CATL to expand its global footprint, particularly in emerging regions, and promote the use of new EV technologies

With VinFast's EVs, it could achieve new heights in terms of range, security, and intelligent driving by utilising CATL's cutting-edge batteries apart from contributing to global drive for energy transition along with carbon neutrality goals.
