Five Superbike Pile-up At Karak Highway Resulting In Massive Traffic Congestion
A pile-up involving 5 high performance superbikes was reported earlier today on the Kuala Lumpur-Karak Expressway (KLK) west bound at km 26.5 resulting in a massive congestion.
According to NST, ANIH Bhd Senior General Manager Radzimah Mohd Radzi commented that the accident occurred at 1.45pm on the fast lane causing a traffic build-up stretching 8.5km from KM35 (from Genting Sempah-Gombak) to the accident location.
Based on the last twitter posting by ANIH via its @LPTTrafik handle, all clean-up activities were sorted by 3.31pm and the roads were fully open to usual traffic movement.
ANIH also shared a few images on its social media of the vehicles involved in the accident and thankfully no loss of life was reported.
Another Facebook user, “Ariif AK” on the Dashcam Owners Malaysia Facebook page shared what seems to be footage of the before and after where it is evident the group of bikers were filtering in-between cars in the highway. However it was unclear what caused the accident other than the speed they were travelling at.
Always remember to drive or ride safely when on public roads as it is not a controlled racing environment and the lives of others are at stake besides yours.
