Agensi Pengangkutan Awam Darat (APAD) had recently released the verdict on the action taken with regard to the accident which occurred on 29 October 2022 at KM69 Gerik - Jeli which resulted in the death of an unborn baby.  The accident was caused by a Class A Goods Transporter lorry which had been overloaded in goods being transported and three cars.

APAD further stated that based on its investigation, action was taken under the Section 57 (1)(b)(x) and Section 58 (1)(b) of the Road Transport Act 2010 (Act 715). It was found that the lorry operator had failed the JISA audit and had prior JPJ offences. Hence the APAD’s Cancellation and Revocation department concluded to revoke the operator, Mun Fei Enterprise (IM0103026-M) operation license with immediate effect.

In the 29th October incident, the 47 year old lorry driver had fled the scene but was apprehended at a roadblock at Batu Melintang, Jeli. The entire incident was caught on a dashcam which had gone viral clearly showing a lorry overloaded with white ceiling material spilling its content as it was negotiating a sharp bend.
