- Sitiawan Two-Vehicle Crash Leaves Three Dead And Three Injured
In an accident between a Proton Saga sedan and a sports utility vehicle (SUV) last night at Permaisuri Bainun Bridge close to Sitawan, three people were killed and three others were hurt.
A couple and a son in the Proton Saga died at the site of the collision, according to a spokesman for the Sitiawan Fire and Rescue Department, while two other passengers, a girl and a boy, were hurt.
Meanwhile, he said, the Chevrolet SUV's driver also sustained wounds.
"We rushed to the accident location at 11:13 p.m. after receiving an emergency call. When we got there, the Chevrolet was 80 percent burned.
He stated in a statement today that "the injured victims were provided first aid treatment and none of the sufferers was trapped in their automobiles."
The injured victims were sent to a hospital for additional care while the police received all of the deceased victims.
According to ACP Nor Omar Sappi, the head of the Manjung district police, the identities of the accident victims have not yet been determined.
