- Peugeot E-Lion Day Takes Places This Week
Peugeot has already kicked off its 2023 on a high note after revealing the Inception concept at CES. Now, the French carmaker announced that it will host a special "E-Lion Day" on January 26th.
The forthcoming event, which takes place tomorrow (Thursday) is expected to be jam-packed with both electric and electrified vehicles. Presently, Peugeot provides numerous electric vehicle (EV) models such as the e-208, e-2008, e-Rifter, e-Traveller and as well as plug-in hybrid (PHEV) versions of the 308, 408, and 508.
The new 3008, which is set to launch in December this year, will most likely be made available with a variety of powertrains - both fully- and partially-electrified types.
According to Peugeot CEO Linda Jackson, she recently said the company is planning to launch five new EVs as part of their bid at becoming Europe’s leading electric brand by 2030.
As the event’s teaser mentioned Allure, which is an apparent reference to the Inception concept, it was seen as a design manifesto that previews the brand’s future styling direction.
Aside from ushering in a new era of style, the idea was built on the STLA Large platform and included a dual-motor powertrain setup as well as a 100-kWh battery pack that promises a range of up to 497 miles (800 km).
