This is it. The last V8-powered Mercedes-AMG C63 S and E63 S have finally made its debut in Australia. The C63 S and E63 S  Final Edition will be the final AMG models to be powered by a non-electrified V8 powertrain in Land Down Under, months after making its global debut.

Both vehicles are powered by the same AMG-built 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 mill with varying power outputs. For comparison, the electrified C63 S E Performance plug-in hybrid (PHEV) only harnesses a 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-four engine that is paired with a hybrid electric motor.

Starting off with the C63 S Final Edition, this C63 swansong comes in either the standard coupe or the soft-top Cabriolet variants. Both variants are finished in Mercedes-AMG’s proprietary Manufaktur Graphite Grey Magno hue with yellow and dark grey decals all over the exterior.

The Final Edition treatment sees the C63 S being fitted with the Exterior Carbon Package, which grants it with a slew of carbon fibre parts, including the high-performance carbon ceramic brakes. This car also rides on a staggered set of two-tone AMG wheels, measured 19-inch at front and 20-inch at the back.

Just like the exterior, the C63 S Final Edition cabin is laced with carbon fibre trims and accents. The re-worked cabin is also primed with sportier AMG Performance front seats, plus an AMG Performance steering wheel wrapped in either grey or black Nappa leather. Both the seats and steering wheels are finished with contrasting yellow stitchings that pop against the carbon-grey cabin, matching the exterior decals.

Moving on to its bigger sibling, the E63 S 4MATIC+ Final Edition only comes in a single sedan bodystyle. As its name suggests, this AMG saloon is primed with Mercedes-Benz’s proprietary 4MATIC+ all-wheel-drive system. Similar to the C63 S, the E63 S is also draped in Manufaktur Graphite Grey Magno paint plus the Exterior Carbon Package.

Apart from the carbon trims, the E63 S has been adorned with decals on the side skirts, as well as AMG badging on its C-pillar. Topping-off this performance saloon’s exterior design features are the massive 20-inch AMG cross-spoke alloy wheels it rides on.

Stepping inside the E63 S and drivers will be greeted by its sporty AMG steering wheel finished in leather and Dinamica. The AMG Performance front seats are wrapped in either grey or black Nappa leather with yellow contrast stitching – similar to the C63 S. One key difference of the E63 S cabin is the dual-screen layout that crowns its front dash, comprises of the car’s infotainment display and driver’s instrument cluster.

Finally, a slew of interior parts and trims are finished in glossy carbon fibre, giving the E63 S cabin a much posher look compared to its smaller sibling.

The final V8-powered AMG models will make its Australian debut later in Feb 2023, with price starting at AUD218,400 (RM657,123) for the C63 S Coupe Final Edition and AUD239,000 (RM719,104) for the Cabriolet variant. Meanwhile, the bigger E63 S 4MATIC+ Final Edition commands a price tag of AUD311,900 (RM938,446).
