- Chery Set New Record Through 28.2% Growth Rate
Strengthening its presence in the auto industry, Chinese carmaker Chery has ranked second among the top ten companies for its outstanding performance in 2022 after charting a 28.2% growth rate, far exceeding the industry average of 2.1%.
Despite ongoing challenges throughout the year, Chery Group exported 452,000 units out of 3.1 million Chinese vehicles, a 68% year-on-year increase that cements the company's position as China's top passenger car exporter for the 20th consecutive year.
Unveiled last year in September 2022, Chery introduced its ‘Technology Chery’ as the highlight of 2025 strategy which consists of Q-POWER series, Lion Intelligent Cabin, and EEA 4.0 engine architecture system to be equipped in Chery’s vehicles.
Notably, Chery vehicles exhibit prowess in various fields including basic systems, cutting-edge technologies, sharing platforms, digital economy, value chain and ecosystem which goes the same to traditional core technology and CASE (Connected, Autonomous, Sharing and Electric) technology that relates well to the innovation adaptation.
Looking ahead, the car brand has committed itself towards expanding its range by launching its premium brands in overseas markets which resulted in over 2.4 million vehicles delivered in 2022, accounting for 20% of total Chinese automobile export volume over the same period.
