KTMB MYRailLife To Offer FREE Train Ride For Over 500,000 Students and PwD
The Minister of Transport, YB Anthony Loke today announced the Keretapi Tanah Melayu Berhad (KTMB) new initiative, MyRailLife which offers unlimited travel passes for FREE to school students and person with disability (PwD) to help ease their burden when using the train services beginning 15 Feb 2023.
MyRailLife can be enjoyed by all Malaysian school students from Year 1 to Form 6 as well as disabled people who have registered with the Department of Social Welfare. These free train passes are expected to reduce the cost of transportation for 500,000 school students and disabled people a year who use both the KTM Komuter services in the Klang Valley and Northern region as well as Timuran Shuttle services.
KTM Komuter line in the Klang Valley will cover the Pulau Sebang - Batu Caves - Pulau Sebang route and the Port Klang - Tanjung Malim - Port Klang route. Meanwhile, for the northern region it will cover Padang Rengas – Butterworth – Padang Rengas and Butterworth lines – Padang Besar – Butterworth. The KTM Timuran Shuttle (DMU) train service would be for the Gemas -Tumpat - Gemas route.
All school students and the disabled are required to register for MyRailLife through the KTM Mobile (KITS) application, KTMB website or at the nearest KTMB counter.
