Moving forward from the EV charger network collaboration between Yinson GreenTech and Starbucks Coffee Malaysia with the setting-up of 17 Electric Vehicle (EV) chargers at Starbucks Coffee premises nationwide, both parties are now involved in EV leasing.

Through Hyprdrive, the leasing division of Yinson Greentech (YGT), Starbucks Coffee has acquired five EVs to be used for its corporate fleet. This is important as Starbucks has made a global commitment to reduce their carbon footprint and adopt sustainable best practices in the upcoming years.

Kelvin, VP New Ventures at Yinson GreenTech, presented a dummy key fob to Louise Chin, Chief Financial Officer, Berjaya Food Bhd, at the handover event held at Starbucks Eco Grandeur in Puncak Alam, Shah Alam.

YGT has established goals for Hyprdrive to accelerate the transition to EVs for businesses by providing customised solutions that are appealing, accessible, and inexpensive. Their leasing programme includes solutions that are adapted to each business's needs, as well as free chargEV membership. Home/office chargers, full vehicle maintenance (including gratis pick and deliver services), 24/7 breakdown help, replacement vehicle alternatives, and vehicle wrapping services are all available.

YGT's objective is to speed the transition to a net-zero environment by offering businesses a variety of green solutions for the transportation and logistics sectors from land to sea. Specifically for EV charging infrastructure services the core focus would be on commercial and passenger EV leasing services, completely electric passenger and freight vessels, and digitalizing the ecosystem platform.
