Yinson GreenTech, through its EV leasing arm drivEV, has teamed up with Permodalan Darul Ta’zim (PDT) to advance Johor’s green mobility goals. PDT, fully owned by the State Secretary of Johor, focuses on strategic investments that support the state’s long-term sustainability agenda.
The collaboration, formalised through a Memorandum of Collaboration (MoC), will explore opportunities across the electric vehicle ecosystem, including EV leasing and expanding charging infrastructure in Johor. Both parties are committed to ensuring these initiatives are commercially viable and sustainable over the long term.

The event was attended by Her Royal Highness Raja Permaisuri Agong Raja Zarith Sofiah, Her Highness Che’ Puan Mahkota Khaleeda Johor, and Johor’s Chief Minister, Dato’ Onn Hafiz bin Ghazi.

Yinson GreenTech currently supplies PDT with three passenger EVs, with plans to expand the fleet as part of ongoing efforts to reduce operational carbon footprint and support Johor’s cleaner mobility goals.
Kelvin Soon, Managing Director of drivEV, said the partnership reflects a shared commitment to accelerate the adoption of electric vehicles. “Our goal is to help organisations transition to EVs through practical solutions that lower emissions and reduce operational costs,” he said.
During the event, Yinson GreenTech showcased its EV line-up and smart digital app, highlighting how technology can improve fleet efficiency. By FY2025, the company had leased around 400 EVs to corporate clients in Malaysia and Singapore, avoiding an estimated 62.4 tonnes of carbon emissions.
