Pos Malaysia has expanded its EV fleet by adding 136 new all-electric Maxus eDeliver 3 electric vans.

Pos Malaysia has expanded its all-electric delivery vehicle fleet by adding 136 new Maxus eDeliver 3 electric vans. These new EV vans were delivered in a special handover ceremony held in conjunction with the World EV Day by Weststar Maxus along with its leasing partner, Yinson GreenTech.

This EV fleet expansion is part of Pos Malaysia’s commitment to Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) goals, while aligning itself with the nation’s low-carbon and energy-efficient ambition.

Ultimately, this EV fleet expansion will play a key role in achieving the company’s commitment to reduce its carbon emissions and achieve a fully electric fleet by 2030.

The new EVs will join the existing 1,252 two-wheel and 264 four-wheel all-electric fleet, making it the largest electric vehicle fleet in the country’s logistics sector. With this newly-expanded EV fleet, Pos Malaysia will also be deploying some of these EVs to its operations in the East Malaysia region for the first time.

Pos Malaysia Berhad CEO Charles Brewer

Commenting on this EV fleet expansion, Pos Malaysia Berhad CEO Charles Brewer said, “We are not just delivering mail and parcels, we are delivering a better tomorrow. The addition of 136 electric vans to our existing fleet marks a significant milestone in Pos Malaysia’s journey toward a sustainable future.”

“This exciting partnership with Maxus and Yinson GreenTech plugs us directly into the future of logistics. It’s a win for our customers, a win for employees, and a huge win for our planet,” the CEO added.

Meanwhile, Group Managing Director of Weststar Maxus, Tan Sri Dr. Syed Azman Syed Ibrahim, said, “The introduction of the Maxus eDeliver 3 into Pos Malaysia’s fleet is a proud moment for Weststar Maxus. It embodies our commitment to driving sustainable mobility solutions for the nation.”

Back to the electric van itself, the new Maxus eDeliver 3 EVs are leased to Pos Malaysia through Yinson GreenTech, who will also be providing comprehensive after‑sales support and hassle‑free maintenance for the entire fleet.

Additionally, Yinson GreenTech will also integrate its digital smart technology services, such as telematics intelligence, route optimisation and a fleet utilisation dashboard to optimise fleet management, safety, and energy efficiency across Pos Malaysia’s operations.

“Yinson GreenTech is proud to once again collaborate with Pos Malaysia on their electrification journey as they advance their ESG goals. It is both a privilege and a responsibility to be entrusted by Pos Malaysia for this important phase in their sustainable transformation,” said Kelvin Soon, managing director of drivEV.
