Famed sportscar marque Porsche released its 2022 financial results, which sees the Stuttgart-based brand charting €37.6 billion (RM180.9 billion) in revenue. This marks an increase of 13.65% over its 2021 revenue figure of €33.1 billion (RM159.3 billion).
“In difficult conditions, we achieved the strongest result in the history of Porsche, by some distance,” says Chairman of the Executive Board, Oliver Blume.
“We were also able to offer our customers exciting new products yet again in 2022. This is the result of a great team performance,” he adds.

According to Porsche, its operating profit has reached €6.8 billion (RM32.7 billion) in 2022, which marks an increase of €1.5 billion (RM7.2 billion) or 27.4% over the previous year's figure.
Notably, even the deliveries and automotive net cash flow also reached quite an astounding record high whereas sales also increased from 16% in 2021 to 18% this preceding year.
Aside from that, Porsche succeeded in delivering a total of 309,884 units in 2022 although battling with numerous global crises like the pandemic, war in Ukraine, and as well as the global chip shortage that also plagues countless other carmakers.

However, the silver lining above all these woes just lead to another positive result showing an increase of 2.6% compared to 2021 with just 301,915 delivered vehicles. Within the same year, the automotive net cash flow actually increased from €3.7 billion (RM17.8 billion) to €3.9 billion euros (RM18.7 billion).
‘’Our success factors are improved price positioning, the strong product mix, the increase in vehicle sales, exchange rate effects, and our strict cost discipline,” remarked Deputy Chairman and Member of the Executive Board for Finance and IT, Lutz Meschke in a statement.
Meanwhile, as continuation from its Porsche’s Profitability Programme 2025 initiative, the carmaker decided to embark on its ‘Road to 20’ programme this year whilst having an expectation of over 20% return on sales for the 2023 financial year.
