- BMW Baby Racer Comes With Big Grille Now
For over 30 years, the Baby Racer has been a popular part of the BMW Lifestyle Collection. It is now in its fourth generation and comes in a new design to bring joy to the brand's youngest fans.
This is the fourth-generation Baby Racer, and it's about as simple as a four-wheeled vehicle can get. There is no electric motor or pedals for propulsion in this toy for children aged 1-3. This is entirely leg-powered, or, if there is a small hill, gravity will take over. The front wheels are guided left or right by a new three-spoke steering wheel, and the tyres are made of recycled material. The driver can use the horn to announce his or her arrival, much to the delight of parents, we're sure.
In terms of styling, BMW claims the new Baby Racer is inspired by the 4 Series, iX, and M3/M4, all of which feature the automaker's large kidney grille. Based on the thin headlights and notched taillights, we'd say the 4 Series is the most eye-catching of the bunch. It's unclear whether these lenses actually light up, but previous versions of the Baby Racer did. We don't see any turn signal stalks, so feel free to share your own good-natured BMW jokes in the comments section.
The new Baby Racer is available in white, blue, or black. Each has a soft, ergonomic seat with a distinctive contrasting colour - orange on black, pink on white, or black on blue. BMW will sell Baby Racer spare parts at select dealerships in the event of a collision or mechanical failure.
The new Baby Racer is priced at $149.95 (MYR 660.00). Pre-orders are now available, with shipping beginning on July 5.
