The heavily revised 2024 Porsche Cayenne is set to officially debut at the Shanghai Auto Show this week on April 18. Ahead of which, the Stuttgart-based marque saw fit to release yet another teaser, bringing forth a partial front-end reveal.

Past images released by the marque whilst the model was undergoing its final testing phase hinted several key design changes. From this latest teaser, we can now see the Taycan-inspired new headlights design being amongst one of these key exterior refreshes.

Notably, the newly developed HD matrix headlights encompasses a whopping 16,384 individually controllable micro-LEDs onto the surface area the size of a thumbnail.

Also seen in this latest teaser is a full-width lower front fascia design that appears to be like what’s seen in the smaller Macan. Overall, the exterior changes for the 2024 Porsche Cayenne should see the SUV not look too different from its current outgoing form.

This is how the new Cayenne's cabin will look like, featuring up to three screen in the dash including a curved display.

Recently, Porsche had already shown off the new Cayenne’s interior, which now sports a bevy of new tech led by several screens including a 12.6-inch curved instrument display, 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen, as well as an optional 10.3-inch passenger display touchscreen.

Aesthetics and tech aside, improvements were also made with the new Cayenne’s powertrain and chassis. Variants powered by the 3.0-litre V6 mill is expected to see a slight bump in outputs to 349 HP and 502 NM.

Whilst on the subject of V6 powertrains, the mid-tier Cayenne S variant will see said six-shooter dropped and replaced with a larger and peppier V8 mill.

Heavily updated Cayenne undergoing final testing phase.

Electrified plug-in hybrid (PHEV) variants, on the other hand, will see increased electric range thanks to the upsized 25.9 kWh battery – up from 17.9 kWh prior. Key chassis updates are led by a new dual-chamber air suspension with rebound and compression control.

Lastly, Porsche had also confirmed that a new fourth-gen replacement will arrive sometime after 2025 as a full-blown electric vehicle (EV). More details are expected once the new Cayenne officially debuts tomorrow (April 18).
