Hennessey VelociRaptor 500 Upgrade Pack For The Ford Ranger Raptor Announced

As the Ford Ranger mid-sized pick-up truck re-enters the American marketspace this year, its Ford Ranger Raptor performance flagship is also set to follow suit. Standing as a ‘baby’ next to the Raptor-trimmed F150, the appeal it holds is understandable so to speak, and renowned tuners Hennessey knows this.
On that note, the renowned Texas-based performance tuners have readied its new VelociRaptor 500 package pictured for the Ranger Raptor ahead of its slated market entry in North America. The firm even touts it as "the most powerful warrantied midsize pickup available today.”

Aptly, the package sees Hennessey treating the already sporty and rapid Ranger Raptor with added performance and style to match. Enabling the former are things like an upgraded ECU software, new high-flow air induction system with a blow-off valve, and a larger intercooler.
The result sees an increase of more than 20% from the base car’s 392 HP and 583 NM output figures, which now reads at 500HP and 746 NM instead thanks to this upgrade pack.
Apart from that, the base car’s 10-speed automatic transmission, as well as its four-wheel-drive (4WD) setup and accompanying electronic two-speed transfer case plus front and rear diff-locks, are retained. Untouched too are the Ranger Raptor’s signature stock 2.5-inch Fox Live Valve Internal Bypass shocks.
Note the new 18-inch, 10-spoke black alloy wheels the VelociRaptor 500 pack adds.
“The VelociRaptor 500 Ranger is an excellent choice for the pickup enthusiast who doesn’t need the capacity of our full-size VelociRaptor 600 F-150,” says company founder John Hennessey. He also noted this mid-sized pick-up’s high capability and agility, largely due to it weighing less than the Bronco SUV.
Mechanical bits aside, the exterior treatment in this VelociRaptor 500 package adds a new level of aggression to match too. Key amongst which here are the new front and rear bumpers, the former sporting the upgrade’s name stamped on it plus a brush guard, LED off-road lights, as well as recovery hooks.
Other exterior changes to note include a switch to new 18-inch wheels featuring a 10-spoke design finished in black wrapped in 35-inch tyres. On board, styling changes sees new Hennessey-branded headrests, all-weather floor mats, plus a plaque denoting the truck’s build number.

The Hennessey VelociRaptor 500 package is already available to order, with production starting in Q4 this year. Just 200 units are planned for 2024, each commanding an additional US$24,950 (approx. RM 114,366) premium over the Ranger Raptor’s US$56,960 (approx. RM261,093) base price in North America.
